The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)
SHRM is the world's largest association devoted to human resource management. Representing more than 200,000 individual members, the Society's mission is to serve the needs of HR professionals by providing the most essential and comprehensive resources available. As an influential voice, the Society's mission is also to advance the human resource profession to ensure that HR is recognized as an essential partner in developing and executing organizational strategy. Founded in 1948, SHRM currently has more than 550 affiliated chapters and members in more than 100 countries.

The Southern Connecticut Chapter of SHRM (SOCT-SHRM)
For more than 35 years, the Southern CT Chapter of SHRM has endeavored to promote the professionalism of the Human Resource Management field by offering members a wide variety of professional development opportunities and a common forum in which to share ideas and experiences.

Association of Healthcare Human Resources Administrators of Greater New York (AHHRA)
AHHRA was founded in 1947. It is a non-profit organization of Human Resources practitioners in the healthcare industry within the greater New York metropolitan area. AHHRA provides its members the opportunity to share information about the goals and practices of Human Resources management that are specific to the healthcare industry. It also promotes professional growth through regular membership meetings, educational programs provided by field experts and social events that offer networking opportunities.

The Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA)
CBIA is the largest statewide business organization in the country, with 10,000 member companies. It's the voice of business and industry at the state Capitol. Their highly respected public policy staff works with state legislators and officials to help shape specific laws and to promote a regulatory system that responds to businesses' needs. 

New York Business Group on Health (NYBGH)
Founded in 1982, the NYBGH is a not-for-profit coalition of 150 businesses and is the only organization in the New York Metropolitan area exclusively devoted to employer health benefit issues. NYBGH functions as the forum for businesses to explore contemporary healthcare issues and find practical solutions. Members include employers and health-related organizations.

The mission of NYBGH is to provide leadership and knowledge to employers to promote a value-based, market-driven healthcare system.

New England Employee Benefits Council (NEEBC)
NEEBC was created in 1979 to create a forum for discussion and informational exchange in the employee benefits field. NEEBC places special emphasis on opening communication between individuals in benefits and related professions: highlighting business, economic and legislative trends as they impact the employee benefits arena, and fostering sound procedures, principles and practices in all areas of employee benefits.
